Be professional, Central Province minister urges civil servants

CHISOPA

CHAMBO NG’UNI, Chibombo
CENTRAL Province Minister Davies Chisopa has called on civil servants to be professional to efficiently deliver services to the people.
Mr Chisopa, addressing heads of government departments in Chibombo, said it is through the hard work of civil servants that people will be able to see Government at work.
He said failure by civil servants to perform their duties, will deny the people of development and the services that they need.
“I would like to implore civil servants to be committed. You come here to work, if we offer services, the people of Chibombo will not complain,” he said.
Mr Chisopa also counselled civil servants to desist from getting involved in partisan politics and tribal divisions.
He said Government will not condone civil servants who want to align themselves with opposition political parties.
“It’s the PF, headed by President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, that is in government” Mr Chisopa said.
He said civil servants have the responsibility of fully participating in delivering the developmental agenda of the PF government.
Chibombo district commissioner Felix Mang’wato also urged civil servants to be loyal to the government of the day.
Mr Mang’wato said civil servants have the responsibility of delivering services to the people to the best of their abilities.
