Prevent cholera outbreak, orders Veep

VICE-PRESIDENT Inonge Wina has directed the newly-created Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Environmental Protection to urgently come up with measures to avert an outbreak of cholera in Lusaka and other parts of the country before the onset of the rains.
Mrs Wina told Parliament yesterday that the newly created ministry in charge of water and sanitation together with the Ministry of Health and local authorities should work out measures that will ensure that the onset of rains does not bring about diseases such as cholera.
“These three institutions should inform the House what measures they will work out to avert cholera before the onset of rains,” Mrs Wina said.READ MORE
