President Lungu’s book on SA market

PRISCILLA CHIPULU, Lusaka
PRESIDENT Lungu’s Rough Journey to State House story is now on the South African market with the largest bookstore, Exclusive Books, stocking the popular book in its cache of international titles.
According to Books Exclusive website, the popular political thriller published by Partridge on January 5 this year is available for orders and delivery within a period of between 10 to 15 days for the South African market.
The company says copies are already flying off the proverbial shelf.
Authored by award winning descriptive writer and senior diplomat Anthony Mukwita, President Lungu’s story has been described by reviewers as a ‘nail biting tenacious journey’ of a once under-stated Zambian politician who gave up power just to win it back in a 20-day gruelling national campaign.
The book further highlights how President Lungu shocked his opponents by repeating the feat a year and eight months later after they underrated him.
And Mr Mukwita says book stores in Zambia will have the book in less than 20 days of this month.
“‘Against All Odds, President Edgar Lungu’s Rough Journey to State House’ is already on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Book depository UK and USA to mention but a few for online orders,” he said.
The book is Mr Mukwita’s first and also the first book in Zambia on a serving Zambian President, making it a unique take on political history.
