President Cup preps get underway

THE four-member Zambia golf squad went into camp in Kitwe yesterday to start preparations for the Africa Golf Confederation (AGC) President’s Cup pencilled for Nkana Golf Club at the monthend.
The tournament to be played from September 27 to October 3 will comprise 15 nations including hosts Zambia.
Zambia Golf Union (ZGU) honourary secretary Kelly Munsaka said in Kitwe that team drilled by professional golfer Patrick Mwendapole started training yesterday.
The four are Timothy Sondashi, Aaron Simfukwe Jr., Denmark Mulambo and Peter Munyinya.
The event is being held to honour of AGC president Joe Malanji’s ascendance to the helm of the continental golf body.
