THE poultry industry is experiencing its peak period with hatcheries fully booked as farmers take advantage of the festive season market.

Poultry Association of Zambia executive manager Dominic Chanda said the festive season though short is a peak period for farmers rearing chickens.
“The poultry industry only has a peak period of 21 days in the year. January to March are very depressive for the industry because a number of smallholder farmers move out of production.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
