She-polopolo arrive in battle zone

CECILIA ZULU, Windhoek
THE Zambia women’s national team arrived in Windhoek on Wednesday night ahead of the Africa Women Championship kicking off tomorrow.
The team is accommodated at Safari Courts together with seven other countries.
The She-polopolo had the first training session at the Namibia Football Association technical centre yesterday.
Zambia coach Charles Bwale said the She-polopolo are in Windhoek to lift the trophy.
Zambia start the ball rolling tomorrow against hosts Namibia at Sam Nujoma Stadium.
“I wanted the girls to feel the sun as it is quite hot here. You know after travelling, you need to kill off jet lag and recondition the bodies to playing standards,” Bwale said.
He also said the team is not intimidated facing Namibia.
Other teams in Group A are Ivory Coast and six-time champions Nigeria while Group B has Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana and South Africa.
