Politicians back to school

THE Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has urged political parties participating in campaigns for the August 11 general elections to ensure that their supporters adhere to traffic rules and regulations in a bid to reduce loss of life from road traffic accidents.
The agency is today expected to meet with political parties to discuss the importance of supporters adhering to road safety.
This is contained in a statement issued by head of public relations Fredrick Mubanga.
Mr Mubanga said the meeting, which RTSA will host with the Electoral Commission of Zambia at Mulungushi International Conference Centre, will focus on the need not to compromise road safety as supporters engage in campaigns.
“Political party supporters should remember that there is life after the elections and hence the need for them to follow traffic regulations. It is against this background that we want to remind all political parties that road safety should not be compromised,” he said.
