Police recover stolen casino money, firearms, motor vehicles

POLICE in Lusaka have recovered two firearms, cars, US$3,100 and property worth thousands of Kwacha in connection with the recent aggravated robberies at Europa Casino and Lake Petroda service station.
On November 1 and 25 this year, armed robbers broke into Europa Casino on Kafue Road and Lake Petroda service station, respectively, where they stole property and cash worth thousands of Kwacha.
Police have made headway in investigating the matter with two people so far arrested in connection with the crime.
Lusaka Province Commissioner of Police Nelson Phiri told journalists yesterday that the two suspects will appear in court once investigations are concluded.
