Police locked me up – Benos’ daughter

MURDER accused Tshiabu Benos’ 16-year-old daughter yesterday narrated how she was locked up in police cells for four days after the officers allegedly threatened her of being an accomplice to the crime.

This is a case in which Benos, 38, is alleged to have murdered Autoforce proprietor Reeves Malambo, 48, at her Lusaka Ibex Hill house on January 28 this year.
“The police told me that I was an accomplice and took me to Emmasdale Police Station. The officers told me that there were no cells for girls at that station, so they took me to Garden House where I was locked up for four days,” she said.
