INSPECTOR-GENERAL of police Kakoma Kanganja says the Zambia Police Service is determined to fight corruption and enhance service delivery to the citizens.
Speaking during the launch of a Service Charter by the Zambia Police Service and Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) on Wednesday, Mr Kanganja said the Service Charter is a good tool to help fight corruption in the Zambia Police Service as it gives clear guidelines on how to reject, resist and report corrupt practices.
Mr Kanganja said the Service Charter will help in the sensitisation of citizens on a number of procedures required to be undertaken in accessing essential services, as well as make them aware of the various regulations and offences.
TIZ executive director Goodwell Lungu said corruption continues to deny people various opportunities which have ended up benefiting a few individuals.
