‘PF policies on course to reduce mealie-meal prices’

PRESIDENT Lungu’s deputy campaign manager Frank Bwalya says the Patriotic Front (PF) administration has put in place adequate measures to reduce the price of mealie-meal through establishment of solar-powered milling plans countrywide and investment in the agriculture sector.
Mr Bwalya, who is also PF deputy spokesperson, said in Kitwe on Saturday that the price of mealie-meal will reduce when all milling plants become fully operational.
He said the establishment of solar-powered milling plants demonstrates President Lungu’s commitment to saving Zambians from further exploitation by some selfish millers.
He said the use of solar milling plants will remove electricity costs on mealie-meal production and transport costs as the staple food will be produced where people live.
