Petitioner narrates death threats

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Namwala district youth chairperson yesterday narrated how United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres allegedly threatened to kill people who had voted for PF candidates if the opposition party won the 2016 general elections.

Mr Ilunga, 32, a former Maala resident, said he was with other PF supporters waiting for the official announcement of election results when UPND cadres allegedly stormed his house with machetes, spears and sticks.
He told the commission of inquiry into voting patterns and electoral violence here that the cadres allegedly attacked Maala Ward Counsellor Special Mushobwe and stole a Galaxy mobile phone and K5,000 cash from him.
