Petauke Day lift Coke trophy

PETAUKE Day yesterday won their maiden Copa Coca-Cola Schools Championship after edging Lusaka Province representatives Mwavi in a thrilling final.
Petauke Day, the Eastern Province envoys, walked away with K15,000 while Mwavi pocketed K10,000.

Third-placed Sekela from the Copperbelt received K7,500 after beating Northern Province representatives Ituna.

Mwavi, who lost 1-3 to Chibombo in the last four, were gifted a final slot after the Central Province representatives were disqualified from the tournament for using an ineligible player.
Apart from grabbing the overall prize, Petauke had two of their players win three individual awards.
Striker Zephas Zulu won the joint top-scorer award with Sekala’s Esau Musamba after netting four goals apiece and each walked away with K500.
Zulu pocketed another K500 after being voted man-of-the-match while skipper Gibson Zulu emerged player of the READ MORE
