Panos backs community to adopt fish farming

KABANDA CHULU, Lusaka
REALISING the threats presented by fish depletion in natural water, Panos Institute Southern Africa (PSAf) is supporting the community along the Zambezi Valley in Sinazongwe and Kazungula to adopt fish farming as one of the solutions.

PSAf executive director Lilian Kiefer said the institution is working with local fisheries departments and experts to support the communities to adopt fish farming to meet the demand for local consumption and for sale.
Ms Kiefer said this after a visit in the two districts where Panos is implementing the Deepening Community Based Natural Resources Management (CBNRM) with support from Finland.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
