THE Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) has urged the Ministry of General Education to open schools in Lusaka Province which have remained closed due to the cholera outbreak on the same date to manage the school calendar effectively.
ZCSD executive director Lewis Mwape said the opening of schools based on cholera classifications of areas will bring confusion in the administration of the school calendar.
He said this will also lead to exclusion and stigmatisation of pupils based on location.
