Open letter to Minister of Health

Dear editor,
KINDLY assist my late sister’s children to access their mother’s pension and long-service dues. My sister Gladys Mwape Malama died five years ago but to date her benefits have not been paid.

I have tried as an administrator to push for her dues but all in vain. Lusaka District Health Management Board human resource and accounts officials have let us down.

For the past five years, I have been told that Government does not have money to pay families and children of the deceased.
This has been very difficult for the children of the late who have undergone so much stress to a point where I am now being suspected of having swindled them.
Dr Chitalu Chilufya, Gladys died on July 2, 2012. We have only received repatriation. Her man number was 70065148; employee number 00115240, NRC 632930/11/1, scale HB11.
My appeal to you, sir, as minister, is to intervene in this matter, I have been looking after my nephew and niece but now they are asking me questions with regard to delayed dues.
I have been challenged to explain my position and also the position of Government or is it the Ministry of Health.
Your intervention in this matter will definitely go a long way in uplifting the lives of the two orphans. My contact is 0955622246.
BRIAN MALAMA
Administrator
