Onion floods markets in capital city

ONION has started flooding various markets in Lusaka following a shortage which hit the country recently.
Although the price remains high, fetching between K140 to K250 for a 10-kilogramme bag, supply is steady.
A heap of four small and medium onions is pegged between K5 and K10 respectively.
A check by the Daily Mail in Lusaka on Tuesday showed that a 10kg bag of white onions is selling at K140 and red onions between K250 to K300.
At the Tuesday Market, a 10kg bag is selling between K140 and K240 for white and red onions respectively.
