OC collaborates with Iyanya

UNITED States-based Zambian singer OC has released a new song titled ‘Tie The Wrappa’, on which he has collaborated with Nigerian vocalist Iyanya, who is best known for winning the 2008 MTN Project Fame West Africa as well as for his ‘Kukere’ song.
OC, known for his song ‘Wangu ni Wangu’, is happy with both the song and the collaboration.
“The song ‘Tie Your Wrappa’ is all about happiness and thanking God for all his blessings. We talked more about celebrating life and dancing. The song is full of life, fun and very African. He is one of the top Afro-pop artistes that I have been looking up to and wished to collaborate with,” says OC, who was born O’Brian Siame.
“He is such a great talented and humble artistes to work with. My experience in the studio was amazing and I learned a lot of things; the studio chemistry was awesome. This song is definitely great… My prayer is for this song and collaboration to open doors for the local industry and for my fellow Zambian artistes.”
Iyanya, whose full names are Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, is the co-owner of Made Men Music Group, a record label that is home to the likes of Tekno, Selebobo and Baci.
Although currently far from home, OC is thankful to his Zambians fans for the support that they continue giving to his music.
“I would like to encourage my fellow artistes to learn to work together and show one another love. Our music is definitely going to the world. Also allow me to thank my fans for the support, all the DJs and the media for showing me love,” he says.
“I would like to encourage all my people in Zambia to maintain peace as we go through this crazy time of elections. I pray that we choose more dialogue over violence. I will definitely be coming back and I can’t wait to do shows and see my beautiful fans.”
