‘Number of females in production declines’

LATEST research findings by Musika reveal that the proportion of females making decisions on production, selling and revenue use in maize- producing households has declined.
In contrast, women’s participation in decision making in the groundnuts sector has improved from production to revenue use, resulting in the crop becoming an important earner for women.
According to a research bulletin released at the ongoing 90th Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Show, women play an important role in agriculture despite the inequality in economic benefits them and men in the sector being well-known.READ MORE
