WORKS on the construction of an administration block and post office in Nsama district in Northern Province is nearing
Northern Province Minister Brian Mundubile said the contractors are currently roofing the structures and carrying out final touches to the buildings.
Mr Mundubile said officers will be deployed to the district to occupy the new offices once the works are completed.
“We are almost done with the construction of the administration and the post office building at Nsama as the contractors are roofing the two structures and we expect all the final touches to be completed soon,” Mr Mundubile said.
The district administration block is being built by VBS Contractor at a cost of K5.7 million while Jonko Contractors are constructing the post office at over K2.3 million while the civic centre is being done at a cost of about K6.4 million.
Mr Mundubile said Government will ensure that works are completed within schedule so that they are occupied by the civil service.
And 35 offices for various government departments are being constructed at the district administration building.
“This will mean efficient and effective service delivery as our officers will now be able to be in these new offices,” he said.
The construction of various buildings at the district administration centre started in 2014 and was expected to be completed by June this year.
