NRFA spends over K5 billion on roads

THE National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) has this year paid out K5.3 billion after processing 1,400 interim payment certificates (invoices) from contractors for the construction and rehabilitation of roads countrywide.

And Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development permanent secretary Charles Mushota has urged the boards and managements of road sector agencies to remain resolute and focused as complaints will still come despite positive developments.
During the end of year party for road sector boards and managements on Wednesday night, NRFA chairperson Christabel Banda said there has been a positive result for the road sectors in 2017.
