Non-traditional exports to China to reach $5 billion in 10 years

ZAMBIA’S non-traditional exports (NTEs) to China are expected to reach US$5 billion in the next 10 years sustained by Government’s efforts to diversify the economy.
Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary Kayula Siame said the country is expected to tap into the enormous Chinese market following Government’s focus on economic diversification, through among other strategies, increased export of NTEs.
In 2015, Zambia and China signed an Economic and Trade Bilateral Agreement, whose main objective is to enhance economic and trade relationship, realising the true political and economic friendship the two….
