NKANA are on the verge of advancing to the CAF Champions League group stage but will need to overcome the Simba hurdle in Dar es Salaam today.
Save for this year when they were eliminated from the Confederation Cup in the first round, the Kitwe giants have relatively enjoyed good fortunes in continental games.
Going into today’s game with a 2-1 lead from the first leg in Kitwe, the permutations are simple.
A 1-0 for Simba will see them advance while a win, draw, or a 3-2 loss for Nkana will bring group stage football to Wusakile township.
Simba will rely on their impressive home form to demote Nkana to the Confederation Cup.
The Tanzanians have managed seven wins and two draws in the last nine games in all competitions at home.
Having travelled to Dar es Salaam as early as Tuesday, Nkana have acclimatised to the Dar es Salaam humid weather and are targeting a double over Simba.
