Nkana not targeting revenge against Zesco – Saileti

MULWANDA LUPIYA, Ndola
COACH Zeddy Saileti says Nkana will not be targeting revenge when they host Zesco United in tomorrow’s Super Division Week Four match.

Zesco beat Nkana 2-0 courtesy of a John Ching’andu brace in the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield final at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on April 2.
Saileti said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday that his charges are ready for battle.
“This is football and in football you do not seek revenge. What is important is to think of a positive result because the Charity Shield is a bygone story and now we are playing a league game. The game is important for us because we also want to challenge for the league title so we just have to be positive so that we can get the result,” he said.
Pace-setters Zesco have nine points while Nkana have four.
Saileti said beating the Ndola giants will boost the Wusakile outfit’s confidence going forward.
He said Saturday’s 2-0 win over Napsa Stars has motivated the players ahead of the Zesco encounter.
“The first two games we did not perform well. Going into Week Three we played under a bit of pressure but we managed to get the three points in Lusaka. I think it has motivated us and I think we are ready for them and it will be good for us to beat Zesco at home. It will give us a good platform to challenge for the Super Division title,” Saileti said.
But Zesco coach Zlatko Krmpotic said: “Every game we go to play good football and win. We are going to Nkana without big pressure after beating Nakambala Leopards and we have to play good football to get the result. Nkana is a good team and we must prepare adequately for the match.”
