Nkana eager for Munthali return

NKANA will welcome international defender Christopher Munthali should he decide to leave Power Dynamos.
Munthali recently cast doubt about his stay at Arthur Davies Stadium, indicating that he does not know where he would ply his trade next season.
But Power secretary Ricky Mamfunda insists Munthali is not for sale because he had a contract up to December 2016.
Munthali has recently been linked with a move to South African side Golden Arrows, Zesco United and Zanaco.
Zesco are representing the country in the 2016 African Champions League while Zanaco will campaign in the Confederation Cup.
Nkana secretary Kenny Mwansa said in Kitwe on Wednesday that the 12-time Super Division champions will receive Munthali ‘wholeheartedly’.
“He is more than welcome if he wants to join us. Who would say no to a player of Munthali’s calibre?” Mwansa asked.
He said Nkana enjoyed Munthali’s presence when he was on loan from Power.
“But we will cross the bridge when we get there. Otherwise it’s the player’s choice. He will decide where he wants to play his football,” Mwansa said.
The former Afrisports and Konkola Blades defender has been a revelation at Power since returning from a two-year loan at Nkana.
Munthali helped Nkana win the Super Division title in 2013 and was instrumental in guiding them to the group stage of the Confederations Cup the following year.
Munthali was crowned Power’s best player during the end-of-year party last Friday.
