Njapau is Modern Stars coach

MULWANDA LUPIYA – Kitwe
DIVISION One (North) Kalulushi Modern Stars have appointed Dennis Njapau as head coach taking over from Fewdays Musonda.
Club technical chairman Charles Sihole, who confirmed the appointment in Kalulushi yesterday, said Njapau has been offered a two-year contract.
“We have given Mr Njapau a two-year contract and his mandate is to ensure the team bounces back to Super Division in 2016 because last season we missed on promotion in the last two games,” Sihole said.
Njapau formerly of Zanama B Rovers will be assisted by former Nkana midfielder William Chinse.
Chinse was caretaker coach for the last four games of 2014.
Sihole said the club will enable Chinse acquire necessary coaching qualifications through attending courses.
Kalulushi were relegated to the first division in 2013 together with Nkwazi, Lime Hotspurs and Forest Rangers and finished third last season.
Forest and Mufulira Wanderers finished first and second respectively to bounce back to the Super Division.
Njapau joins the Chibuluma Mines-sponsored outfit from Chambishi where he served as assistant coach to Lawrence Mweemba last season before being appointed caretaker coach and later become assistant to Knight Mpundu.
