Nigeria needs $270,000 to charter plane

THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are struggling to raise N85 million (about US$270,000) for next Sunday’s 2018 Russia World Cup qualifier against Zambia.
According to the Guardian, the NFF needs US$216,000 to charter a plane and buy tickets for foreign-based players to join the Super Eagles in Lagos.
“We need about N85 million (US$270,000) to take care of the match against Zambia on October 9, but as we speak, we don’t have any kobo [money] in our purse. We have appealed to Globacom [national team sponsors] to come to our aid by footing the bills. We are still waiting for a response from the Federal Government.READ MORE
