NHCC eyes Zulu’s ex-house

THE National Heritage Conservation Commission (NHCC) plans to buy the house which initially belonged to veteran politician Grey Zulu to turn it into a national monument.
Central Province permanent secretary Edwidge Mutale said NHCC has indicated to the provincial administration that it is in consultation with the current owner of the house with the hope of buying it.
The house is located in Kabwe’s Bwacha township and is also believed to have been a meeting place for political meetings.
Ms Mutale said apart from Mr Zulu’s former house, there are other houses in Kabwe that are in private hands which could have been under the NHCC to preserve the country’s heritage and political history.
