Ng’onga Gabon move hits snag

HONE SIAME, Kitwe
POWER Dynamos striker Alex Ng’onga’s move to Gabonese side CF Mounana has hit a snag after the clubs failed to agree on the US$400,000 transfer fee.
Mounana are offering US$70,000 for the goal-poacher.
According to information posted on the Mounana website, Ng’onga has been told to prepare for his return to Kitwe should Power stick to the $400,000.
Ng’onga left Zambia with the Gabonese side after Power’s elimination from the Confederation Cup on April 4.
Mounana beat Power 4-3 on aggregate.
Efforts to get Power secretary Ricky Mamfunda could not materialise.
“No deal has been reached on Alex. The money Power is asking is too much for us. We can’t manage,” reads a statement on the Mounana website.
Mounana, who want two strikers, wanted Ng’onga on loan and later sell him to a European club.
Ng’onga contributed a goal in the 3-0 victory over Mounana in the Confederation Cup first round return leg in Kitwe and netted twice in the 2-0 win over Al Khartoum of Sudan in the preliminary round return leg after losing 0-1 in the first leg.
