NGOCC calls for unity

THE Non-Governmental Organisation Coordinating Council (NGOCC) says the forthcoming elections should not be used for personal benefits where the winner takes all but a competition for service.
In a statement during the commemoration of the Heroes’ and Unity Day holidays, chairperson Sara Longwe said the country is in a critical moment as people are preparing to vote for leaders and the national referendum to expand the Bill of Rights which is fundamental to the human rights of citizens.
“The Heroes’ and Unity Day should be used to celebrate the great women and men that have sacrificed for the greater good of this country. Our forefathers fought for the current peace that the country is enjoying,” she said.READ MORE
