THE Netball Association of Zambia (NAZ) is impressed with the enthusiasm national team players are showing ahead of the 2015 Sydney World Cup.
NAZ general secretary Prichard Ngoma said in Lusaka yesterday that the players cannot wait for the World Cup to get underway.
Ngoma said the Zambians are not intimidated facing experienced teams.
Zambia will tackle Uganda, Fiji and Wales in Group D.
And national team assistant coach Kelly Mwanza said the team is injury-free.
In an interview, Mwanza said the players are responding well to training.
“We have been in camp for almost a week and the team spirit is high. The ladies are putting in their best,” he said.
Mwanza said the team will play some friendly matches in the run-up to the tournament.
The World Cup is billed for August 7-17.
