MUBANGA NONDO, Ndola
A 35-YEAR-OLD guest house manager at First Quantum Minerals (FQM) Limited in Ndola has pleaded not guilty to 25 counts of stealing 2,400 kilogrammes of beef sausages worth over K50,000.
Justin Banda, 35, a food and beverage manager of Minsundu Road, is charged with 25 counts of theft by servant.
He denied all the charges when he appeared before Ndola magistrate Chitundu Chongo on Tuesday.
Banda told Ms Chongo that he understood the charges but denied.
It is alleged that between October 30 and December 31, 2014, Banda stole 2,400 kilogrammes of beef sausages valued at K53,639.68, property of FQM Limited.
Ms Chongo has since entered pleas of not guilty in respect of all counts and the matter comes up on March 11 for commencement of trial.
The accused is on police bond.
