ON JANUARY 11, 2018 at 04.00 hours, defence force personnel, Ndola City Council staff and other people swung into action to remove ramshackle wooden structures, including wooden pallets erected by street vendors.
It has brought back memories of old Ndola, the way most of us knew it way back from 1960.
It was indeed a health hazard for the community, including pedestrians.
We sincerely hope that it will remain as it appears today.
The authorities should also improve the roads as well as pavements.
This has been long overdue.
