Ndhlovu attending trials at Swallows

By MULWANDA LUPIYA
NKANA striker Jimmy Ndhlovu is attending trials at South Africa premiership side Moroka Swallows.
Ndhlovu, on loan at rivals Power Dynamos, has been in superb form this season scoring nine goals.
Nkana secretary Kenny Mwansa said in Kitwe on Thursday that Ndhlovu will be assessed for two weeks.
“Yes, Moroka Swallows wrote to us asking for Jimmy [Ndhlovu] to attend trials at the club,” Mwansa said.
The former Red Arrows forward was loaned to Power at the start of the 2014 season.
He joined Nkana from Zesco United during the mid-season transfer window last year and helped the Kitwe giants win the 12th Super Division title.
Meanwhile, Power coach Tenant Chilumba says they will miss the services of midfielder Lubambo Musonda.
Musonda, who was on loan at Power from Division Two (South) K-Stars, has joined Armenian side Ulisses on a one-year contract.
In an interview in Kitwe yesterday, Chilumba said the player’s move to Armenia will help him realise his ambition of playing for a big European club.
“We will miss the boy [Musonda]. We were in good books with him as a club and also as a coach. He is an ambitious boy. I wish him the best at his new club,” he said.
Chilumba is confident Musonda will succeed at Ulisses.
“He was like a son to me. He was humble and always listened to advice from me [Chilumba]. He should now use his move to Armenia to penetrate other competitive leagues in Europe such as France and England,” he said.
