GOVERNMENT has so far spent K100 million on the construction of the national health institute in Lusaka which is expected to be completed by October this year.
Ministry of Health spokesperson Kennedy Malama said in an interview that Government is impressed with the pace at which the institute is being built.
“The national health institute being constructed near Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital includes an administration block, business hub, tutorial rooms, lecture theatres, kitchen, dining hall and labs,” Dr Malama said.
Dr Malama said the national health institute will offer courses in different health disciplines.
He said the learning institution will have the capacity to enrol 3,000 students and will create many jobs when completed .
