NAPSA pays out K1.3 billion for C/belt roads rehab

KALONDE NYATI, Lusaka
NATIONAL Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) has disbursed K1.3 billion out of the total K2.1 billion loan to the National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) for the rehabilitation and upgrade of roads on the Cop-perbelt as at last December.

In June 2017, NAPSA entered into a financing agreement with NRFA for the rehabilitation and tolling of some identified roads on the Copperbelt.

NAPSA head of corporate affairs Cephas Sinyangwe said in response to a press query yesterday that the loan will go towards the rehabilitation and upgrading of selected viable economic roads, which include the Ndola-Kitwe and Kitwe-Chingola dual carriageways, and Chingola-Solwezi road projects.
Mr Sinyangwe said road infrastructure remains one of the viable economic sectors in the country with huge investment opportunities and lucrative returns.
