I WRITE to appeal to the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) to consider removing the demand for the verification of bank account details on claims.
It is very inconveniencing on the part of the claimant who has a bank account to have it verified.
What is the purpose?
How can one lie that they have a bank account when they know that the money has to be paid in the account by NAPSA?
While I appreciate that NAPSA wants to perfect the system, it is also not good to inconvenience the claimant, who has to go to the bank with a form to verify the bank details.
NAPSA should come up with an effective way of speeding up payments of funeral grant and survivors’ benefits.
