MATHEWS KABAMBA, Kitwe
NAPSA Stars have backed the Tenant Chilumba-led technical bench to find a winning for the struggling side.
Napsa started the campaign with a bang and were on top of the summit for some time but have since dropped to seventh position with 37 points, seven behind leaders Zesco United.
The Lusaka side are winless in the last six matches.
Club secretary Owen Chimpinde said in Lusaka yesterday that they are confident Chilumba and his assistants Linos Makwaza and Harry Milanzi will end the losing streak.
“It is a concern, the coaches and players all need to work hard and start getting results. We are going through a rough patch and sometime football can be like that. We have not been very bad, it is just that results are not coming. We have a young squad and the issue of inexperience sometimes comes in, so it is understandable,” Chimpinde said.
He said the target still remains finishing in the top four.
“We have an experienced bench, we still have faith in them and the players. All we need is two good results then we will be stronger again. When you look at the gap between us and the top team, it is not much,” Chimpinde said.
