Namwala violence boss caged

POLICE in Namwala in Southern Province have apprehended another fugitive who has been on the run for the last five months after being implicated in the 2016 post-election violence.
Southern Province commissioner of police Bonnie Kapeso identified the suspect as Clement Musulwe, 31, also known as Mwanamalumbwe of Maala village, Namwala.
Mr Kapeso said Musulwe was cornered yesterday by alert police officers at Niko area within the district.
He said Musulwe becomes the second suspect to be arrested, after the suspected mastermind of the rampage that displaced over 100 families perceived to be supporters of the ruling Patriotic Front (PF), Dickson Kashimbula, 36, also of Namwala.
Musulwe is believed to be one of the closest allies of Kashimbula.
