Namibia will host the 6th National ICT Summit under the theme: “Accelerating Digital Transformation in Namibia”, from Oct. 7 to 9 in the capital, Windhoek.
Namibia’s Minister of Information, Communication, and Technology, Stanley Simataa made the announcement on Wednesday at a sponsorship breakfast meeting which was attended by various stakeholders in Windhoek.
Simataa said the country’s national ICT Summit has morphed into a premier event on the national ICT calendar as evidenced by the steady growth and rich offerings of the 5th National ICT Summit.
“The summit will present unique opportunities for interactions between policymakers, ICT experts, academicians, entrepreneurs and ICT’s innovators to reflect, understand and share knowledge on advancements and trends in the ICT sector,” he added.
Among the heavyweight sponsors, this year are China’s Huawei Technologies among other Namibian entities who for the past years ensured that the summit prospers and delivers its intended aim.
The ICT Summit which is an annual event will also look into the trends and challenges in the ICT industry and advance possible solutions.
