MULWANDA LUPIYA, Kitwe
COACH Bruce Mwape has ditched Division One (North) outfit Indeni barely two months in charge of the club.
And Mwape has since been replaced by his assistant former Rotson Kilambe.
Club secretary Stephen Sinyinza, who confirmed Kilambe’s appointment, said Mwape has not been with the team for two months.
Kilambe will be assisted by Watson Musonda and goalkeeper trainer Stanley Mumba.
Sinyinza could, however, not disclose the reasons why Mwape left the club.
“I cannot comment on that issue unless I get authority from my superiors. I think Mwape is man enough to comment on the issue about him,†Sinyinza said.
But Mwape said he was unwell.
“I was not feeling well for one month, two weeks. I started feeling unwell when I was just appointed and was asked to look for accommodation in Ndola. But when I was down, they thought I was just staying away from work,†Mwape said.
Mwape, who signed a two-year contract at the start of the season, has not heard from the club executive from the time he was indisposed.
Indeni have 16 points.
