Mwami, Chirundu, Nakonde borders get facelift

OVER €6.8 million has been committed to support the upgrading of cross-border infrastructure at Mwami, Chirundu and Nakonde to reduce clearance time for goods and passengers.
Last year, the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and Government signed an agreement that sub-delegates the implementation of coordinated border management activities and trade and transport facilitation programmes at three border posts in the country.
With Zambia ratifying the African Continental Free Trade Area, the project will help accelerate domestic and cross-border trade.
