GREEN Buffaloes Football Club goalkeeper Fred Silwamba and boxer Ben Muziyo were among five athletes that were named 2017 sports personalities of the year during the Zambia Army sports awards.

The awards ceremony held at Arakan Barracks in Lusaka on Friday saw female runner Kabange Mupopo and footballer-cum-boxer Barbara Banda also receiving sportswomen-of-the-year accolades.
Other athletes that received the sportsmen-of-the-year awards were judoka David Chisenga, karateka Kabamba Mwape and golfer Gift Kasonde.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
