MADALITSO Muthiya and Dayne Moore yesterday made the cut during the Zambia Sugar Open Golf Championship as Andrew Georgiou from Cyprus raced to the lead with an impressive 11-under-par 66.
Georgiou, who had two strokes ahead of second placed CJ du Plessis of South Africa, overtook James Kamte.
Kamte entered day two on seven-under-par 66 only to drop to six-under-par 74 although he remained confident about his prospects of winning the title.
“I had a good day, I played pretty solid the first 15 holes and I got too relaxed the last three holes but I am excited I have put myself in position for the title,” Kamte said, adding that today he would just “tie up everything” and ensure he makes less mistakes.
