Multi-building material manufacturing park on cards

A US$200 million multi-building material manufacturing park that will contribute to the availability of the commodities to support the booming construction industry is expected to be commissioned in the second quarter.

Mpande Limestone Limited, which is expected to invest an additional US$300 million in the project dubbed ‘China National Building Materials Zambia Industrial Park’, will produce a million tonnes of cement and 60 million pieces of bricks annually in the first phase of the project located near the Lusaka-South Multi Facility Economic Zone.
