Gospel Grooves with FELIX NYAMBE
GOSPEL recording and performing singer Matheuwz Mulenshi has set September 2017 for his sophomore album launch titled Silencer, a follow-up to
his 2014 debut God’s Time.
“My latest album is done and I hope it shall inspire all believers and those who are thirsty for gospel music. I have also set September, 2017 as the first launch in Lusaka before moving to other provinces in the coming months,” he shared.
Mulenshi, a former member of the award-winning Peace Preacherz, also revealed that just like his previous project, his new collection is also full of praise and worship songs.
There are songs like Ananidoba, Yahweh and Amalumbo Kuli Lesa featuring Jennipher Nakanyika and Dr. Elias.
“It is just in order that much as we declare our allegiance to the Lord, we should continue to praise and worship Him in truth,” says Mulenshi, who is also Gospel Music Tour (GMT 24/7) chairman.
Other songs on the album include Yesu Mfumu, which features Maya, Ndiolesteni which has the unmistakable voice of Nakanyika and Ukuboko Kwenu, which features Shada, talks about the hand of God which is neither too short to bless nor too short to heal or save.
“When one is wary or feels rejected, God is there to uplift them through His word, which is the spirit, so we should always believe that He is a God whose divine touch will never fail us,” he says.
Other songs on the album recorded at Major Chords, SSV Studios, with most of them being produced at SRP Studios, include Nioneko Yesu, I Praise, Azachosa Misozi, Matamando, Lelo Lelo, Pagona Cha (Ft. Charlie Simz).
“For those who are heavy laden and to the wary, the sick and those who are weeping due to the loss of a loved one, I am simply declaring in the song Azachosa Misozi (He will wipe away your tears) because no situation is permanent. Even when you weep in the night, joy will surely come in the morning,” he says.
Mulenshi, who is also known as 1 Matteyo “The Igwe” among fellow gospel ministers, has been in the Christian recording music industry since 2008.
Meanwhile, talking about Gospel Musical Tour 24/7(GMT 24 /7), a Christian gospel organisation founded in 2015, Mulenshi announced that its launch has been tentatively been set for October, 2017 in Lusaka, exactly a month after his new album launch.
