Mtonga in fitness race for Lions clash

CHIPOLOPOLO midfielder Kondwani Mtonga is facing a fitness race ahead of Saturday’s 2018 Russia World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.

Team manager Chris Chibuye said in an interview in Ndola yesterday that Mtonga is being assessed by Zesco United and national team doctors.

“The only injury concern is Kondwani Mtonga; he has a knock sustained from the league match. He is not available for now. He is yet to heal but he is in the
team. Team medics from Zesco and the national team are in communication and they have okayed the treatment that is being given to him,” Chibuye said.
