Mpulungu Harbour leads way


AFTER Mpulungu Harbour Corporation was awarded the Best Performing Enterprise under the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) portfolio, company board chairman Elias Mpondela pointed to the innovations of the staff as key in turning around the fortunes of the firm.
Apart from the Best Performing Enterprise award, Mpulungu Harbour was also awarded the Highest Dividend declared by Medium Enterprise and Best Performer against Annual Targets and also came out second in the Most Improved Enterprise category behind Nitrogen Chemicals.
“This performance we have recorded and the awards we have received today are a product of hard work, clear thinking, clarity of thought and generating ideas that work,” Mr Mpondela said during the IDC fourth gala dinner and awards ceremony on Saturday where his firm declared K2.4 million dividends.
