MEMBERS of Parliament (MPs) yesterday showcased skill to wrestle the Independence football tournament trophy from Diplomats in an entertaining encounter at Olympic Youth Development Centre in Lusaka.
Chipangali Member of Parliament Vincent Mwale put the MPs in front with a well-executed goal on 15 minutes after a pass from Milanzi law-marker Whiteson Banda, who was the skipper of the side.
The Diplomats, who featured mostly a youthful side, started pushing for an equaliser but MPs coach Stephen Kampyongo made tactical changes withdrawing Muchinga’s Howard Kunda for Chipili law-maker Jawis Chabi in a bid to strengthen the defence.
Kampyongo, who is Minister of Home Affairs, also substituted Kabushi MP Bowman Lusambo for National Assembly Second Deputy Speaker Mwimba Malama.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
