Dear editor,
THE current status of Nakonde road stretching from Mpika is a sorry sight to every motorist driving on that road. The road is in a very bad state.
May I remind the relevant authorities, Government and the Road Development Agency that this road does not only link Zambia to East Africa but it is also a major economic player through revenue collection done by Zambia Revenue Authority and the local municipality.
I understand a contractor has been engaged to work on the road though it is yet to commence works, but something can be done to the potholes in the meantime. Patch them up!
The reason we pay road tolls is for sustainable road development.
